This project started five years ago to address a problem in my life.

I wasn't completing projects. Songs, stories and scripts languished after I hit the wall. Rather than persevering through the frustration and find new insight, I gave up too easily.

As a challenge, I vowed to write and record a new song every day in January. Sometimes I had a whole day to work. Other times, an hour. The month became a musical advent calendar. Each day revealed a song.

I enjoyed it so much that I continued to do it on a yearly basis. I also invited friends to collaborate with me. Those songs are among my favorites.

This is my final year to do the project. I'm going to come up with something different. Or not. But I couldn't be happier with what I've done. I hope you enjoy it too.

The tracks are sequenced chronologically. There are 30 songs here. I missed the 28th because I got caught up in the thrilling drama "Captain Phillips." That could have been a good song.
