This is a song I wrote in memory of my friend Michelle Tull Bynum who died too young from breast cancer. She was extraordinarily selfless and an inspiration to many people.
One of her messages was "Don't let my cancer go to waste."
All proceeds from this song will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
lyrics
I was flat on my back, deep down a hole
Lost in a world of pain
I heard her voice, I saw her smile
She lifted me up
And said, "I'm with you once again"
She's my Cowgirl Angel From Texas
A rodeo halo love
She's my Cowgirl Angel From Texas
Two-steppin' in the stardust above
So she cooled all my thoughts, I lived in her heart
Singing the songs we used to sing
About bluebonnets and Stetson Sonnets
And the green, green Hill Country
On the very first day of spring
She's my Cowgirl Angel From Texas
A rodeo halo love
She's my Cowgirl Angel From Texas
Two-steppin' in the stardust above
Morning spilled on the floor, we finished our coffee
And knew that she had to leave
Back to the One who gave her life
Who gave her the faith
That to love is to believe
She's my Cowgirl Angel From Texas
A rodeo halo love
She's my Cowgirl Angel From Texas
Two-steppin' in the stardust above
